The Midge is not only the sharpest two-person drift boat on the river; it is also tough. The hull has multiple layers of fiberglass and epoxy resin. The inner and outer chine have an added layer of fiberglass tape. The bottom is 3/8" marine plywood. This drift boat is light enough that two people can put it in the back of a truck to transport it to the river. For those that are concerned with rocks, the Midge can be outfitted with a Boulder-Busting Bottom or a bonded UHMW ( no screws or fasteners).
